York is located in beautiful North Yorkshire, in the North East of England. It is perfectly placed for rail travel from London (1 hr 50 mins by train from Kings Cross), Manchester (~ 1 hr 30 mins), Leeds (20 mins), and further North (Edinburgh, Newcastle).
